From the ashes of tragedy came an organization developed to support the charitable and educational needs of our community.

In 1988, local chiropractor, Dr. Lowell Frigard, reached out to Jack Roddy, a local businessman, after learning about a family who had been devastated by loss. It was a cold day for the family with three small children and no food or heat. This businessman, out of the kindness of his heart, took firewood from his personal supply, meat from his freezer and donated it to this family in need. That act of kindness was the birth of the Delta Advocacy Foundation.

“I remember the time when we learned that the electricity was shut off due to a delinquent account as a mother returned home after dropping of kids at school. Delta Advocacy gathered resources and rectified the account. The electricity was turned back on before the kids returned home from school that same day.”
